THE HONEY BUS is the story of my beekeeping childhood in Big Sur, where the wisdom of my grandfather and his honeybees gave me the strength to overcome a broken home.
“Captivating and surprising…. If you’ve ever been stung by a bee you will instantly forget the venom and remember forever the sweetness and redemption bees offer in this extraordinary book.” —Sy Montgomery, New York Times bestselling author of How To Be A Good Creature and The Soul of an Octopus

Hello from British Columbia! I just finished reading The Honey Bus! Although I had initially picked up the book because of my growing interest in beekeeping, I was riveted by the story of your relationship with your mother, perhaps because I too grew up with a difficult mother.
I was glad that in your difficult times, you found comfort and peace with the bees and with your grandfather.
I am also glad to find your blog and I will keep visiting!

I picked up your book because last month I read a novel titled “The Book Of Polly” and I was fascinated by the very quirky Polly and her interesting little daughter. Polly had some fascinating stories about her bees and their hives she had in her backyard.. I just started reading your book and am enjoying it a lot.
